Got treated to an amazing concert last night. Sun Ra’s Arkestra under the lead of Marshall Allen. It was Allen’s 86 birthday. They played many old old songs and some hits. The guitar player was out of this world!
I am sure this is the most blogged topic today but who cares. The show was killer. Just watched the show again, so many great bits. The loose style added a lot to the goodbye show. Conan looks so focused when is playing the guitar, like he knows how to play but hasn’t played much lately. Maybe we will see a Conan album! What about Beck on stage with that crew.
Neil Young had a knock out performance. It looked like he was in the green room relaxing and they surprised him when he had to go on. But in perfect form just knocks out a song in tribute to a comedy king.
